Saint Agostino's church (XIII - XV century) was completely restored recently. It is situated on the northern side of the homonynous square and it was a wooden market still in XIXth.
There is nothing more of the oratory and the little monastery founded by the Agostiniani friars in 1270 while the inside constitues an interesting example of architecture of transition from the Ghotic to the Reinassance. Nowadays the indide is made up of three aisles divided by six spans and closed by tree chapels according to the Kind of setting of the first 1400.
The church is decorated by a lat of '500 - '600 pointings, among them "La Madonna della Consolazione " by Giovan Battista Naldini (1537-1591), pupil of Pontorno and co-worker of Vassari. Moreover in the Buonamici Chapel we con admire "Madonna col Bambino in gloria "and" sant, " by Jacopo Chimenti also named "L'Empoli " (1554-1640).
From the vestibule with the barrel vault (giust half of 1300) we con go into the cloister, said "of the deads" and realizad in the XVIth.
